All performances of Provincial Dance School-Castro Floxo in Galiza and in International Folklore Festivals around the world where it participates, are to pay tribute to old people who knew to conserve and bequeath cultural patrimony to us.
The Provincial Dance School-Castro Floxo repertoire’s comes from the dances that old people conserved in the Galician little villages, with their own style and soul. All kind of popular Galician music and dances (muiñeiras, jotas mazurkas, pandeiradas, carballesas, religious and guild dances, etc) are displaying wearing a numerous variety collection of traditional costumes. The music is played with the traditional Galician instruments: bagpipes, accordions, drums, bass-drum and tambourines that is the principal instrument that the women play when they sing.
